Hebe ochracea 'James Stirling'

It's easy to mistake this whipcord hebe for some type of conifer; it is a dwarf spreading shrub, an evergreen with olive green scale-like leaves close to the stems. The neat small mound of foliage is eventually topped with surprising, small, white flowers proving it isn't a conifer after all.
